Participants will have the opportunity to hear 4 case studies on integral mission (from 16 options). There will be a range of case studies from Christian groups working in conflict situations in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America as well as sectoral case studies on HIV, advocacy, community development and relief.

Regional groups:

There will be time for regional groups within the Micah Network to meet, pray, reflect and plan regional initiatives for the future.

Networking opportunities:

Time each day to interact together and one evening available for networking/relaxation. Micah Network is happy to facilitate interest group meetings on request.

Exhibition:

Participants are encouraged to bring brochures/display boards of their organisation’s work for an exhibition.

Sightseeing:

There will be a number of sightseeing options available to people for Saturday 16 September. Details and cost will be posted on the Micah Network website closer to the time.

Seminar on Theological education related to HIV/AIDS:

A half day seminar will be held for Thai theological educators on HIV and AIDs will be held on Saturday 16 September at the Duangtawan Hotel. Theological educators from other countries also welcome to attend. Please contact Jane Furniss (ic@micahnetwork.org) for details.

Simultaneous Translation:

Simultaneous translation will be provided in French, Spanish, Thai and English. Translation into other languages may also be offered, depending on demand.

Dates:

11 - 16 September 2006. Registration will be from 11am on Monday 11th September and the Consultation will conclude at 10pm on Friday 15th September. Checkout will be after breakfast on Saturday 16th September.

Transport:

Transport between Chiang Mai International Airport and the venue will be provided at regular intervals. We will advise details to you after you register.

Funding:

Unfortunately Micah Network does not have funding available for delegates to attend.

We encourage you to plan early and to seek funding support from your usual support agencies if necessary to enable your participation.

Please be assured that while the accommodation may be more comfortable than previous consultations, we have not spent extra funds on this. We have secured very low rates due to the wet season in Thailand.
